Good day all, Checking records regarding Magnuski in "Slownik Geograficzny" 1882 edition, vol III, page 276 in description of Imielno, I have found that the authors changed the name Magnuski to Magnuszewski. In the short paper " Wlasciciele Imielna i ich dwory" written by Dariusz Marchewka the author refers to Aleksander Magnuski. In "Slownik Geograficzny" as well as in the paper "Wlasciciele Imielna i ich dwory", the authors mentioned canon of Gniezno, Krakow, Lowicz and Wloclawek; Aleksander Magnuski (died 1689) who built a church in the village. It is worth noting that even nowadays the church is still in good shape and used for masses. Gabriela Kuchna also reports a case where the name of Jozef Magnuski was changed in the Marriage Certificate to Magnucki. However, his children Births Certificates are correctly issued for Magnuski. There is no doubt that it same person, as the wife's name is unchanged. I think that above is an excellent example how easily the name Magnuski was changed to Magnuszewski, Magnucki or any of the ones listed below. Conclusion is, that all names listed by Hank should be carefully checked for relationship. I would like to remind those names and numbers of bearers as per year 2002. Magnuski 166 Magnuska 172 Magnowski 167 Magnowska 219 Magnucki 95 Magnucka 98 Magnutzki 1 Magnutzka 1 Magnusky 0 Magnoski 0 Magnoska 0 Magnuszewski 652 Magnuszewska 751 Magnuszowski 1 Magnyszewski 1 Magnyszewska 1 In "Files" I have attached copy of both mentioned publications. Kind regards Marek Jacek Magnuski
